BRANDING

Tired of Looking Like Every Other Rep? Here’s What I Did

A simple way to show up online as you — not just another copy-and-paste account.

If you’ve ever looked at your feed and thought,

“Why does my page look like everyone else’s?”

you’re not imagining it.

A lot of independent consultants are using the same graphics, the same product photos, even the same captions.

And sure — it’s convenient. It’s what we’re given.

But here’s the problem: when everything looks the same… nothing really stands out.

And more importantly — you don’t stand out.

So, Why Does This Happen?

Because duplication feels safe.

We’re told: “Use this post! Say it just like this!”

And while it can be helpful when you’re just starting out…

it’s not how people get to know you.

And your people — the ones who’d love you, trust you, and buy from you

they’re not looking for a company.

They’re looking for a person.

What Makes You Stand Out Isn’t Fancy — It’s Real

You don’t need to hire a branding expert or redo your whole page.

You just need to bring yourself into your content a little more.

Here’s how to start:

💁‍♀️ 1. Use your face — not just stock photos

People connect with people.

A smiling selfie or a quick “here’s what I’m loving today” video builds way more trust than a polished product flyer.

No need to be glamorous. You just need to be real.

🧡 2. Share why you love what you sell

Skip the script. Share a real reason:

  • Why you started
  • What product surprised you
  • How it’s helped you or someone you care about

Even a sentence or two in your words can make a big difference.

✨ 3. Sprinkle in little pieces of your life

You don’t have to overshare. But adding a little “you” — like your morning coffee routine, your garden, your dog — makes you more memorable.

You go from “another person selling something” to “oh, I like her.”

That’s where the magic starts.

📝 4. Tweak the wording — even if you’re using company graphics

If you’re using a template or promo image, try changing up the caption:

  • Make it sound like how you talk
  • Add your own thoughts
  • Ask a question at the end

Even a small change helps it feel more personal.

You Don’t Have to Be Loud — Just Authentic

You don’t need a logo, color palette, or fancy photoshoot.

You just need to sound like you.

Because there’s only one you — and that’s what makes your brand different.

Final Thought

If you’ve been feeling a little invisible online, it’s not because you’re doing it wrong.

You might just be hiding behind someone else’s words.

💡 Try adding a bit more you into what you post — your voice, your face, your heart.

You’ll feel more confident.

And people will start to notice.

Because when you stop trying to look like everyone else…

that’s when people start to pay attention.

You’ve got something special — now let’s show it 💛
